Hexis Hormêtikê [Para to Kathekon] : "The state of a Daemonic way of acting [Against (musical) Praxis]."

The title it's related to Tele.s.therion compositional method, using Stoic asset as a methaphor of the settings accomplished by radical constructivism, logonic or cybernetic of the mind. This syncretic paradigm, it is part of the TST's formula, about how "achieveing" to the music, as aesthetic operator. This idea follow an epistemological analysis about "free and spontaneous improvisation" music techniques, inside a radical "enactivist" prospective of the "mind–body problem" (embodied cognition). In the Stoic vision, to a mental event (hexis), corresponds a certain way of acting (hormê). The impulse does precede assent. There is an impulse (hormê) before an impulse (hexis). So those who suspend judgment about everything, do not remove this, but at the prompting of nature, use impulse, which leads them towards what appears appropriate (Viability. / Viability and the concept of selection. / Adaptation and Viability)". - T.S.T. --

Hexis Hormêtikê : The Daemonic (or intuitive) way of acting, through the operational analysis of awareness and control of the impulsory state of the mind.

Hexis : Embodied into posture, gesture or certain kind of sign. It indicates an state of the mind, the application of an "attitude" toward perceptions, acting or experiences. "Héxis nou" means something like "I am the master of my mind".

Hormê : The individual's daemon. It also could be interpretated as discipline of acting.

Para To Kathekon : In the Stoic paradigm, this sentence it's about actions contrary to the "nature" of being, more largerly against the principles of a praxis, or a doctrine, or rules. "Music" it's a conventional conception, a mental construct and not a fact. Therefore what we define as Music its actually a description of a "judgment". [...] Against the "rules" that "make" the "music", reorganizing the procedures and criteria on a broader consideration of the sound phenomenas, allows to open up to new aesthetic experiences. - T.S.T. -

Toeplitz, Antoine Chessex, Paolo Sanna, Wildness Perversion [Mortuary Drape].

Music for loudspeakers and audience:
Established in 2007 by two aesthetic operators, since the early years, from 2007 to 2011, the studies are focused into practices near to gloomy experimental electroacoustic music, and deep explorations into extreme drone and doom heavyness. In 2011 the duo split and becomes leaded by a unique composer, conductor and player, which over the years have involved authors from the most varied backgrounds and experiences, postulating the liminality as a framework of reference in the compositionional method. From 2011 to 2017 the research was more focused on the development of a conceptual definition of the black art of noise, defining a music theory able to run new compositional method's approaches of the music experience. A deep immersive ritualistic psychodrama, to design the audible and the inaudible. Based on the syncretic use of techniques and attitudes borrowed from musical genres such as Jazz and Rock, and thus from the praxis of the radical primitive Blues that unites them, and which can be find ourselves in the original Black Metal music, introduced as an interpretive key inside of a compositional and executive system linked to practices carried out by the fringes of classical, modern, contemporary, experimental and avant-garde music, with a special interest on the musique concrete and acousmatic process, conceptual art and the electroacoustic improvisation, atonal music, Dark and Doom Heavy Metal, applied to a radical Black Metal approach, searching for the roots of the meaning of these terms, for their sonic phenomenas, their thought forms, before they became a music genre. Non-objective and non-representational art. Absolute music for private and public polyphonic sound projections, through orchestras of loudspeakers, for immersive deep listening experiences, in order to unleash the acousma, the sensory phantasms that allow the altering of cognitive and perceptual processes, through pareidolic stimuli, in an aniconic drammatization, to bring out imaginative and synaesthetic subconscious processes, the epopteia.

Inspired by the Russolo‘s researches in his black Art of Noise; the sound spatialization studies of Karlheinz Stockhausen and his music theory; Edgar Varese‘s studies and his vision of “sound as living matter“, the non-objective and aniconic art of Tele.s.therion, is based on atonal music and non-idiomatic improvisation principles, applied to a radical Black Metal approach, linked to authors such as Abruptum, Hellhammer, Bathory, Gnaw Their Tongues, Emit, Amaka Hahina, Moëvöt, Profane Grace, Astral Lueur, Black Pentecost, Darkness Enshroud, Sunn O))), Grauen Pestanz, Summum, Kranivm, Burial Hex, Flittering, Utarm, etc. Following the non-musical aural path of Beherit, Blasphemy, Von, MZ.412, Havohej, Wolf Eyes and many more authors who moved from the borders of this sound paradigm.

What we commonly know today as Black Metal, it’s just one of the possible forms available.

Tele.s.therion music program it’s based on the use of techniques and dynamics borrowed from musical genres such as Jazz and Rock, and thus from the practices of the radical primitive Blues that unites them, and that can be find ourselves in the original Black Metal music, introduced here as an interpretive key inside of a compositional and executive system linked to practices carried out by the fringes of classical, modern, non idiomatic, contemporary, and avant-garde music (with a special interest on the concrete and acousmatic process), sound art, improvised, atonal, black, dark and doom heavy metal, searching for the roots of the meaning of these terms, for their sonic phenomenas, their thought forms, before they became a music genre. What we commonly know today as black metal, it’s just one of the possible forms availabes.

It is necessary start to watch through the veil of this genre, with an upside down point of view, to discover its das unheimliche, to transgress the stereotopies and cliché, and design new possible forms whithin this musical dimension; to start a new auditory journey to the roots of Black Metal music.

The Black Metal's engineering its mutuated by its royal descent, which is derived from the practices developed in Punk and Thrash era, and it is distinguishable by a strong interest in the aesthetic theories, focusing on the physiological effects of special categories such as the sublime, which here become extra musical evocative suggestions, shock tactics, hard edged, transgressive and anti establishment attitude, iconoclasm, etc. [...]

The TST compositional method, the sound matters was previously selected choosing the performers; the characters and the timbres of the sound bodies chosen for this acousmatic composition, are a unity with the personality of the author involved in the ensemble. Such as characters on the set of a movie, they play blind and alone, using a script and few essential indications. [...]

To keep this aspect of independence of each sound event, each author was called to perform himself, recording his own sessions separately, as a moment form, without knowing what the other authors involved will do. Each recording session, it's conceived and treated as a sort of whodunit, an event developed inside the "locked room mystery", a narrative approach conceptually transposed in sound art, where each detail it's a fondant clues of the acoustic scene, raw material that becomes a sound object per sé.
